Radley emerged victorious from the Fit2Run Oxfordshire League meeting at Banbury’s Drayton School, amassing 702 points to see off host club Banbury, Notable performances came from Megan Humphreys, who won the under 13 girls’ 1200m in 3.51.2, while Alex Cross won the long jump (1.40m).

In the under 15 girls’ competition, Amy Greenway clocked 26.8 to win the 200m and Georgina Sunderland recorded 44.0 in the 300m.

Hayley Perrin cleared 1.55m in the high jump and Sunderland took first place in the shot with 7.74m.

Emma O’Hara took a shot and discus double in the under 17 age group, throwing 8.98m in the shot and 29.41 in the discus.

Radley’s boys were also to the fore.

TJ McClimont won the under 13 high jump with 1.26m, while James Breslin won the shot with 6.33m.

Christian von Eitzen turned his hand to the under 15 boys’ 400m, clocking 57.0 to win by some distance.

Oxford City were third.

The under 13 and under 15 boys led the way with four wins.

Alfie Howlett bagged the best of them with a throw of 7.14m in the A string shot.

Adam Smith and Harry Peach took B string wins in the 100m and high jump respectively, while Howlett, Cameron Davies, Peach and Smith won the 4x100m relay.

City’s under 15 boys had a fine day.

Matthew Gain went under 12 seconds for the first time in the 100m, winning in 11.9 secs and clocked 23.8 to win the 200m.

Middle-distance runners Ben Upjohn, Owen Huxley and Matthieu Marshall took three first places in the A and B string 800m and 1500m.

Tom Downs was the highlight for City’s under 17s, winning the 100m in 11.7.

City’s Simo Fajemisin and Beth Mulvaney cleaned up the under 13 girls’ long jump while Danielle Garden won the javelin.
