Radley produced an impressive display in their final Southern League Division 3 match of the season in Portsmouth to win by 12 points.

The Oxfordshire team dominated the field events, dropping just one point across all jumps and throws.

The result was helped by under 20 Jordan Steptoe, who won the B string long jump (6.21m) and triple jump (11.81m).

In the throws, Jim House, returning after a two-year break due to injury, showed he has lost none of his power.

He won the A string shot with 10.89m and discus (36.22) and added the B string javelin (41.54m).

Multi-eventer Osman Muskwe won four events and was third in another, as well as running a leg in the winning 4x400m relay.

Elsewhere, under 17 James Purnell-Lacey made his debut in the men’s team recording a personal best of 54.9 secs in the 400m.

He also stormed to victory in the B string 800m before running a good leg in the 4x400m relay.

Under 20 Corey Brooks also gained a personal best in the 400m hurdles, clocking 1.08.0.

The sprint team of Rueben Asenso and Ben Owen ran season’s bests in the 100m and 200m, while in the middle distance races, Stuart Ferguson won the 800m and 3,000m steeplechase.
