Adam Tucker plundered a sensational 172 not out as Shrivenham had a field day at Hook Norton in OCA League Division 1 on Saturday.

Tucker’s huge knock was backed up by Conor Taylor’s magnificent 132 in a second-wicket stand of 236 as Shrivenham amassed 368-2 from their 45 overs.

Both Tucker and Taylor tried their luck with Challow & Childrey in the Cherwell League last season, but have returned to their home club.

To complete Tucker’s amazing day, he claimed 5-28 in eight overs as Hook Norton were bowled out for a spirited 216, Tom Bartlett hitting 58.

East & West Hendred picked up their first win, condemning visitors Chadlington to a fourth straight defeat.

Jason Briggs (60) and Ivan Mulford (42) helped Hendred to 174-9. Jon Francis claimed 4-43 in Chadlington’s 168-6.

Clifton Hampden held on to record a six-run win at home to Marsh Gibbon.

Morley Benson (53) helped Clifton post 159 all out, and then Julian Hitchman claimed 4-56 as Gibbon were restricted to 153-8.

In Division 3, Wantage went top with a seven-wicket win at Westcott.

James Mabbett took 4-19 to dismiss the home side for 156, before Barry Martin (65) and Tim Lane (46no) led Wantage to 160-3.

Seamer Thom Airs was Dorchester’s star, his 5-37 helping his side to a ten-run win at home to Hook Norton 2nd in Division 6.

Dorchester had been dismissed for 114, before Airs took over with the ball as Hooky were all out for 104.

East & West Hendred 2nd had a day to forget in Division 7 as they were shot out for a paltry 42 at Swinbrook 2nd.

There were no few than seven ducks in the Hendred innings, Martin Killick taking 4-8. Tom Julian hit 34 not out to see Swinbrook to a ten-wicket win.

Radley 2nd were on the receiving end as Jacob Souch scored a century for hosts Ducklington in their 187-run victory in Division 8.

Ducklington made 265-6, Stuart Weston chipping in with 69 as he and Souch (107) put on 174 for the first wicket. Radley were shot out for 78.

Nathan Himpson’s 6-34 was in vain as Marcham 2nd lost by 66 runs at West Ilsley 2nd.

The hosts were all out for 171, Adam Barnes hitting 72. Mike Bee claimed 4-12 as Mar-cham were shot out for 105.

Pete Whinfrey was another six-shooter, taking 6-24 to help Sunningwell 2nd to a five-wicket home win over Dor-chester 2nd in Division 9 Whinfrey’s helped to bowl out Dorchester for 79, before Sunningwell made 80-5.
