Crowmarsh CC hosted Cholsey and Ipsden in their annual T20 Festival on Sunday and regained their crown on a day that featured a hundred, a hat-trick and record scores.

In a round-robin format defending champions Cholsey opened up in style against Ipsden, scoring a record 250-1.

Opener Andy Chapman recorded a maiden century – 101no while Bevan Davis hit 86no in an unbroken second-wcket stand of 196 In reply, Simon Brown played aggressively for an unbeaten 71 but Ipsden were never really in contention and lost by 92 runs Ipsden also struggled in their second match against Crowmarsh, managing just 80 against some tight bowling, with Justin Fanstone conceding only six runs in his four overs.

Richard Eltham (54no) guided Crow-marsh to a ten-wicket success in the 12th over.

Chapman continued his fine form in the decisive third match against Crowmarsh, making 66.

But he lacked support and the innings came to a sudden conclusion when seamer Gareth Crowther took four wickets in six balls, including his first hat-trick.

He finished with 5-20 as Cholsey slipped to 125 all out.

Crowmarsh took control as Eltham (36) took the score to 80 in the 11th over. Despite an excellent spell from Davis (4-24), Andrew Giles (21no) kept his cool andsaw Crowmarsh to a four-wicket victory in the 19th over.
