Wantage openers Col-in Mercer and Nick Burton produced an unbroken double-century partnership in their OCA League Division 3 game at Chesterton on Saturday.

Mercer cracked 117 not out and Burton 79 not out as Wantage rattled up 232-0.

Grant Summersbee then claimed 4-22 in Chesterton’s 102 to give the visitors a 130-run success.

Radley ran leaders Cairns Fudge mighty close before losing by 12 runs.

Fudge struggled to 135-9 but visitors Radley were restricted to 123-9.

East & West Hendred fell victim to a virtual one-man show from Westbury’s Grah-am Judd in Division 1 in an 88-run home defeat.

First he led the way with an unbeaten 53 in Westbury’s 218-7, while Hendred’s Jack Mulford took 6-72.

Judd then captured 5-23 and Richard Tredwell 4-22 as Hendred subsided to 130, Ivan Mulford contributing 57 for the home side.

Faringdon kept up the pressure, sweeping aside visitors Chipping Norton by seven wickets.

Will Oglesby claimed 4-24 in Chippy’s 106 all out, Mike Hume hitting 59 to steer Faringdon to 107-3.

Clifton Hampden beat Great Horwood by 86 runs to condemn the visitors to their first loss in Division 2.

Morley Benson (40) led Clifton to 158-6 in a match reduced to 38 overs a side by rain.

Darren Clark (4-17) shone as Horwood were skittled for 72.

Division 4 leaders Wootton & Boars Hill were overtaken by Eynsham, who won their clash by four wickets.

Wootton posted 163-7, Sam Jones taking 4-38, while Eynsham replied with 164-6 despite Damien Wiskin’s 4-45.

West Ilsley were squeezed out by five runs away to Charlbury 2nd.

All-rounder Barry Nutt scored 57 in Charlbury’s 152, then claimed 5-32 as Ilsley were held to 147-8.

Marcham crushed visitors Kennington by nine wickets in Division 5.

Stuart Armstrong’s 4-38 restricted Kennington to 115-9, before James France plundered 70 not out in Marcham’s 119-1.

Superb figures of 4-6 from ten overs by Adam Shorten set up Uffington’s 83-run win against West Witney.

Andy Radcliffe hit 48 in Uffington’s 162 all out, the visitors falling for 79.

Dorchester stayed clear at the top of Division 6, after beating visitors Oxenford 2nd by 49 runs.

Adrian Redhead (60) and Tom Harris (59no) led Dor-chester to 182-6, before the visitors were dismissed for 133.

Shrivenham 2nd stay second thanks to a two-wicket win at home to Faringdon 2nd.

Thomas Swann claimed 5-32 in Faringdon’s 152-9, before Andrew Bowles hit 75 as Shrivenham reached 153-8.

Hanney lost a thriller by one run at home to Minster Lovell 2nd.

Having been shot out for 83, Jamie Thomson taking 4-9, Minster dismissed their hosts for 82.

Sunningwell lost by nine wickets at home to Brill, for whom Jack Green (61) and John Fitsell (52no) shone.

In Division 6, Uffington 2nd were shot out for a paltry 45, crashing to a ten-wicket defeat at Westbury 2nd. Nick Blithe was the West-bury star with 6-17.

Marcham lost by 70 runs to Broughton & North New-ington 2nd’s in Division 8.

Neil Mepham smashed 101 for Broughton.

In Division 9, Sunningwell lost by 32 runs to Garsington 3rd, for whom Paul Hicks hit a superb 122 not out.
