Henry Pickford’s match-winning spell of 6-19 helped Abingdon Vale beat Bletchley Town in a low-scoring Cherwell League Division 2 match on Satur-day.
Pickford took three wickets in one over as Town fell for 62.
Earlier, Graham Charles-worth (64no) scored more than the entire visiting team as Vale recovered from 100-9 to 142 all out, making it past 100 for the first time in three matches.

Challow & Childrey’s Pat Bryan made 101 not out at Cumnor, with Ryan Gordon (46) helping them to 224-8.
But it proved in vain as the leaders eased to 226-5 through Adam Cook (69no), John Williams (53) and Matt Lake (34).
Cumnor 25, Challow & Childrey 10 Kingston Bagpuize cra-shed to a massive 238-run defeat in the Division 4 match at in-form Horley, who had a fortnight earlier beaten Stok-enchurch by 236 runs.
David Taylor helped himself to an unbeaten 137 and Andy Stanley 84 in the hosts’ 323-3, while Matt Warner took 3-74.
Pete Papenfus produced the remarkable figures of 8-30 as Bagpuize were all out for 85.

Mark Carey’s classy 87 not out was enough to secure a six-wicket victory for Wallingford at Chearsley.
The hosts had managed only 131 against Colin Allen (3-9) and Jamie Fraser (3-63).

Matt Jones (42), Shaun Burningham (42), Conor Morrison (38) and Ian Demain (37) helped leaders Didcot to 211-6 at Great & Little Tew 2nd. Robby Taylor took 3-46.
Tew were in trouble on 96-6, but Rob Garrett (46no) steered them to 170-8 and safety.

Challow & Childrey 2nd lost by seven wickets at home to Tiddington 2nd.
Matthew Weeks took 6-25 and Philip Wood 3-50 to bowl out Challow for 119, Harry Kent contributing 43.
Jon Talbot (76no) then steered Tiddington to 120-3.

Abingdon Vale 2nd’s game at Great Brickhill was evenly-poised after Jonathan Cook hit 58 and Jason Cardy took 3-41.
But Simon Chapman (36no) and Jack Woodhouse (30no) fired the hosts to 207-7.
George Morris took 4-57 and Lee Morgan 4-64 as Vale were bowled out for146.

Abingdon Vale 3rd fell short in their chase at Cublington 2nd in Division 7.
The hosts set a challenging total of 222-6, and it proved just too much for Vale, who ended on 193-2.
Veteran duo Phil Evans (75) and Dennis Lanham (62no) were in the runs.

Abingdon Vale 4th held on for a draw at home to Long Marston 3rd in Division 10.
Set 184-3 by the hosts, Vale finished on 154-8.
