East & West Hendred moved off the bottom of OCA League Division 1 when winning by six wickets at Hook Norton.

Miles Martin (3-27) and Jon Francis (3-33) were the main performers with the ball as Hooky were all out for 109.

Then all-rounder Francis scored 36 not out to lead Hendred to 110-4.

Shrivenham marched on at the top as they crushed Broughton & North New-ington by eight wickets.

The hosts bowled first and were soon into Broughton as they fell to 124 all out in the face of tight bowling from Scott Valentine (3-12) and Adam Tucker (3-30)

. In reply, Shrivenham cruised to victory, thanks largely to Conor Taylor, who ended on 55 not out. Faringdon came away from Winslow Town with an 81-run win in Division 2.

There were contributions throughout for Faringdon, who rattled up 234-4, led by Nick Giles (46), Nigel Hume (45no) and Mike Hume (44).

Winslow were never in the hunt in their reply as they crawled to 153-7.

Watlington crashed to 84 all out against a superb spell of 6-30 from Haroon Nasser for visitors Tetsworth, who won by seven wickets.

Clifton Hampden went down by five wickets at home to Chipping Norton.

The hosts made 166-9 as Matthew Molyneux and Adam Wallington each clai-med three wickets.

Chippy then eased to 167-5, helped by Jim McGeown (65no) McGeown and Ian Widdows (44no).

Division 3 leaders Want-age crashed to their first defeat as visitors Combe ran out 33-run winners. Batting first, Combe were bowled out for 191 as Steve Dobson hit 56 and Mark Francis 34.

Wantage fell to 158 all out in their reply, Tom Kellie taking 3-26. Kevin Slater’s 87 helped Britwell Salome reach 171-8, but Damian Leach scored 107 not out to see Fringford home by nine wickets.

In Division 4, Wootton & Boars Hill lost to Gar-sington by five wickets.

Sam Wharton took 4-19 to restrict Wootton to 174-8, Mark Gresham hitting 46 not out. But Saqib Mohammed (69) led his side to 178-5.

Uffington suffered a narrow 16-run defeat at home to Division 5 leaders Kilkenny.

Darren Gordon (48) and Duncan Macdonald (38) led Kilkenny to 191, before the duo claimed three wickets apiece to dismiss the hosts for 175, despite 56 from Chris Lewis.

Marcham were outplayed in a 124-run defeat at home to Kidlington. Andy Oliver (86) led the way for the visitors who rattled up 237-7, Stuart Arm-strong taking 5-56.

Marcham fell to 113 all out as Waseem Azad took 4-9. Dorchester remain hot on Division 6 leaders Rising-hurst’s heels a with a tight nine-run win at Faringdon 2nd.

Three wickets apiece for Lawrence Belcher, Thom Airs and Steve McCombe helped dismiss Faringdon for 134 as they chased Dorchester’s 143-9, McCombe scoring 44.

Mark Baring starred with bat and ball as East & West Hendred 2nd won at home to Tetsworth 2nd by 36 runs in Division 7.

Baring scored 69 in Hen-dred’s 169 then claimed 5-37 to dismiss the visitors for 133.

In Division 8, Marcham 2nd lost by nine wickets at Chipping Norton 2nd. After restricting their visitors to 125-7, Darren Underhill scored 50 not out to lead Chippy to 129-1.

In Division 9, a haul of 5-27 from Ashley Bird helped Britwell Salome 2nd to a 113-run home win over Minster Lovell 3rd. Britwell rattled up 203 all out, Ross Joyner top-scoring with 46, while Lyndsay Halliwell took 5-37. Minster were all out for 90 in reply as Bird ran riot.

In Division 10, Bertie Proctor scored 100, but it was in vain as Watlington lost by seven wickets at Wootton & Boars Hill 2nd. Procter’s ton led Watlington to 174 all out, only for James Rogers (82) to lead Wootton to 176-3.
