Watlington suffered a humiliating ten-wicket defeat after being shot out for just 21 away to Division 2 leaders Cowley International in the OCA League on Saturday.

Cowley were in a hurry as Brian Barrett claimed 5-5 and Ayaz Khan 4-9.

Jason Lowe and Afzaal Hussain then rushed Cowley to the target inside six overs – their tenth win in a row.

Another one-sided game saw Clifton Hampden lose by 14 runs at home to Tetsworth.

The visitors racked up a massive 302-2. Ganeshamoothy Deepen led the way with 109, while there was also 88 not out from Rommel Foster and 64 not out from Haroon Nasser.

Nikunj Patel (4-36) and Dinish Esky (3-49) then combined to dismiss Clifton Hampden for 188.

Faringdon cruised to a nine-wicket victory away to Marsh Gibbon.

The home side posted 196-5, led by Alex Wallace’s 54.

But Mike Hume (86), Luke Bowerman (73no) and Ian Oglesby (30no) led the visitors home.

In Division 1, leaders Shrivenham were made to work hard for their four-wicket home victory over East & West Hendred.

James Harris claimed 4-24 in Hendred’s 139 all out, before Shrivenham reached 142-6, thanks to Conor Taylor (65).

Wantage’s hopes of promotion in Division 3 took a knock when they lost by four wickets at home to leaders Cairns Fudge.

Batting first, Wantage were held to 173-9, before Andy Small (65) and Tom Small (63no) saw Fudge to 174-6.

Radley eased to a seven-wicket victory at home to Witney Swifts.

Billy Webb and Manley du Preez were the stars for the hosts as they shone with bat and ball.

Webb took 4-18 and du Preez 3-44 in Swifts’ 135 all out, and Radley then reached 138-3 as du Preez hit 58 not out and Webb 56 not out.

Britwell Salome lost by 83 runs at home to Westcott, for whom Nick Raynor smashed 100 in their 252-9.

Gary Ellis then claimed 4-27 and Waqas Ur Rehman 3-21 as Britwell were bowled out for 169.

West Ilsley lost by by one-wicket at home to Hailey in a Division 4 thriller.

The home side posted 169-8, led by George Storton’s 50, only for Sean King’s 61 not out to take Hailey to 170-9, despite 5-36 from Jack Steffen.

Wootton & Boars Hill cruised to a nine-wicket win at Charlbury 2nd.

After restricting their hosts to 155-9, Wootton raced to 158-1, Aidan Steer hitting 52 not out.

Marcham thrashed Great Hor-wood 2nd by 141 runs in Division 5.

Andrew Horseman was the star with 95 not out in Marcham’s 219-4, before Horwood were bowled out for 78 in reply.

Adam Shorten’s 5-29 helped Uffington to a five-wicket home win over Cassington Rescue.

Shorten’s haul helped to dismiss the visitors for 117, and then Tom Fillery hit 46 as Uffington reached 121-5.

Shrivenham 2nd stayed in second place in Division 6 with a six-wicket win at Brill.

Matthew Harris was the star of the show, claiming 6-30 in Brill’s 94 all out. Shrivenham then eased to 97-4.

Dorchester duo Lawrence Belcher and Nic Evans claimed four wickets apiece to help their side to a 65-run win at Sunningwell.

The visitors had been bowled out for 153, but 4-6 from Evans and 4-25 from Belcher helped to dismiss the home side for 88.

Ian Clewley’s unbeaten century helped East & West Hendred to a six-wicket home win over Steventon in Division 7 The visitors had rattled up 264-8, led by Achintha Jayasanka’s 91. But 116 not out from Clewley saw Hendred to victory at 266-4.

Marcham 2nd were on the receiving end of the highest score of the day as Combe 2nd hammered 341-2 in Division 8.

Matthew Purssell smashed 177 not out and Julian Chaundy 101 not out in Combe’s formidable total, which was way beyond Marcham, who closed on 165-7.

In Division 9, Sunningwell crawled to 86-9 from their 45 overs after Jason Elliott top-scored with 99 not out in Wolvercote’s 229-4.

Charlie Fitchett claimed 5-16 to help Watlington 2nd to a ten-wicket win at home to Charlbury 3rd in Division 10.

Charlbury were all out for 113, before Bertie Proctor hit 72 not out in Watlington’s 116-0.
