SHRIVENHAM are the early pacesetters in Division 1 after finishing 47-run winners at home to Stonesfield on Saturday.

Batting first, Shrivenham were well set on 165-3 with ten overs to go thanks to a 51 from Will Snell and 43 from Charan Chahal.

But a collapse, sparked by Tom Gubbins’s hat-trick in figures of 4-42, saw them slump to 205 all out.

Tim Wyatt top-scored with 55 in Stonesfield’s reply, but they fell to 158 all out, Chahal taking 4-32.

Nigel Hume was the star for Faringdon in their ten-wicket win at Charlbury.

Hume took 5-22 in Charlbury’s 112, and he then hit 77 not out to lead his side to 116-0.

In Division 2, East & West Hendred maintained their 100 per cent record with a five-wicket win at ten-man Marsh Gibbon.

Sat Vadivale hit 85 not out to help Marsh to 150-6. Jon Francis led Hendred’s reply with 61 not out.

Wantage lost by 34 runs at home to Wolvercote.

Edward Wilman hit 56 as Wolvercote rattled up 224-9, Mike Konschell taking 4-40 for the hosts.

Wantage were in the hunt thanks to James Mabbett’s 66, but they were eventually restricted to 190-8 .

Wootton & Boars Hill beat hosts Broughton & North Newington by five wickets.

Martin Bungan claimed 4-13 in Broughton’s 109, and then Shaun Morton hit 40 to lead Wootton to 110-5.

Clifton Hampden lost by an agonising four runs to visitors Cairns Fudge.

Andy Small hit 40 as Fudge were bowled out for 153, Matthew Burton taking 4-30.

Steve Shaw then claimed 3-34 as Clifton were all out for 149.In Division 3, Marcham crashed to a 65-run defeat at Kidlington.

Hari Lehel’s 85 not out was the main contribution in Kidlington’s 226-7.

Edd Wilmot chipped in with 59, before taking 3-0 in just five balls as Marcham were all out for 161.

Uffington were thumped by 109 runs at Risinghurst, who made it three wins in a row in Division 4.

Five home players scored 25 or more, but only Rakesh Nambiar (34) past thirty in his side’s 197-7.

Nambiar then claimed 3-29 as Uffington were shot out for 88.

Andy Green took 5-25 to help Hailey to a five-wicket home win against Watlington.

Watlington were skittled out for 75 at Hailey thanks to Andy Green’s 5-25.

Sunningwell fell to a four-wicket defeat at home to Swinbrook.

Stuart Bullen (5-17) and Jack Morland (5-36) combined to dismiss Sunningwell for 101.

Jack Morland hit 33 in Swinbrook’s reply as they reached 102-6, Pete Whinfrey taking 4-26.

West Ilsley cruised to an eight-wicket win against visitors Dorchester.

After restricting Dorchester to 164-7, Wayne Lyford (58no) and John Bowness (45) shone for Ilsley in their 166-2.

Britwell Salome lost by two runs in at thriller at home to Brill in Division 5.

Alex Eason (56) was the main contributor in Brill’s 131, Ross Matthews taking 4-14 and Neil Lawrence 4-20.

In reply, Britwell’s David Coates hit 37, but they fell just short on 129, Thomas Broughton taking 4-26.

In Division 6, Adam Taylor scored a brilliant century to help Shrivenham 2nd to a 24-run win at East & West Hendred 2nd.

Taylor slammed 118 in Shrivenham’s 213-7. Hendred were all out for 189, despite 69 from Miles Martin and 57 from Dom McKenna.

Abdur Rasheed Khan’s 6-30 helped Radley 2nd to an exciting four-run win at Faringdon 2nd.

In Division 8, Chalgrove edged past Britwell Salome 2nd by two wickets to go top.

Shiyam Rajeswaran took 5-17 to help dismiss Britwell for 109.

Stanton Harcourt 2nd thrashed Sunningwell 2nd by 179 runs.

Ryan Wastie (71) and Drew Tweedy (63) helped Stanton set a formidable 271-7 in their 45 overs.

Arun White then claimed 4-9 and Wastie 3-8 as Sunningwell fell for 92.
