DIDCOT put up a battling display but still went down to a 47-run defeat against hosts Banbury 3rd in Cherwell League Division 3 on Saturday
Banbury made 194-8 in 51 overs with Imran Mohammed hitting 37 and Paul Hill 36.
Connor Morrison scored 36 in Didcot’s reply, but Ollie Murrey (3-13) and Michael Thomas (3-30) helped to dismiss the south Oxfordshire side for 147.
There were 9.1 overs played in Abingdon Vale's match at home to Oxford Downs in Division 2.
In that time, Vale struggled to 8-3 before rain ended play, with Amith Kumar, Tim Chilvers and Adam Scholey the batsman out.
Downs bowler Johnny Law took 2-3 in 4.1 overs.
