ROB Owen hit an unbeaten century as Faringdon emphatically bounced back from the previous week’s defeat to hammer Charlbury by seven wickets to maintain their place at the top of OCA Division 1 on Saturday.

Charlbury struggled to 185 all out as Alex Robinshaw took 4-49 and Ben Marks 3-31, Graham Atkins top-scoring with 53.

Faringdon wasted little time in racing to 189-3 in just 32 overs as Owen smashed a rapid 107 not out.

Shrivenham secured a seven-wicket win at Stonesfield.

Adam Tucker’s 5-35 restricted the hosts to 117 before Will Snell (50) and Charan Chahal (45) led Shrivenham to 120-3.

Radley beat basement boys Chipping Norton by 33 runs.

Ali Malik was the star of the show, hitting 58 not out in Radley’s 237-6, before claiming 3-39 from 11 overs as Chippy fell for 204, Dave Brassett top-scoring with 69.

Division 2 leaders East & West Hendred went further clear after beating visitors Marsh Gibbon by 135 runs.

They posted 213-9 in their 45 overs, Jason Fisher scoring 48 and Tom Leonard taking 4-62.

Marsh were all out for just 78, Mark Baring taking 3-6.

Wantage upset Wolvercote’s title hopes with a six-wicket win.

Darren Jones’s 70 not out helped Wolvercote to 206-8, but 94 from Barry Martin and 72 from Colin Mercer saw Wantage ease to 207-4.

Damien Wiskin’s all-round display helped Wootton & Boars Hill to a 37-run win at home to Broughton & North Newington.

Wiskin scored 82 in Wootton’s 187 all out, Stuart Morgan taking 6-44 for the visitors.

A haul of 4-57 followed for Wiskin as Broughton were bowled out for 150.

In Division 3, Marcham fell to an 85-run defeat at home to Kidlington.

Andy Oliver led the way for Kidlington with 107 in his side’s 283-7.

Craig Woods added 64, and then Marcham were bowled out for 198 as Dan Farrant returned 4-47.

Dorchester racked up a formidable 276-2 at home to West Ilsley, but still lost by five wickets in Division 4.

Richard Sharman hit 102 not out, Steve McComb 78 and Adrian Redhead 63 for the home side, only for Wayne Lyford (78) and Will Wright (65) to lead Ilsley to 278-5.

Sunningwell lost a tight match at Swinbrook by 27 runs.

Kit Morland (60) and Alastair Cornah (50) led Swinbrook to 253-8 in their 53 overs.

Sunningwell put up a spirited chase, led by Martin Waugh (47) and Nathan Himpson (38). But they were all out for 226.

Uffington were bowled out for 114 against leaders Risinghurst, Martin Key top-scoring with 56, before Martin Kalyan’s 51 not saw Risinghurst to 115-5.

Watlington eased to a 189-run win at home to Hailey.

Nicholas Little (84) and James Howlett (72) helped Watlington to 275, and then Chris Little took 6-46 to rip through Hailey, who slumped to 86 all out.

In Division 5, Britwell Salome fell to a six-wicket defeat at Brill.

Stuart Symes’s 64 top-scored in Britwell’s 150, before Jeremy Mansfield (55no) led Brill to 151-4.

Kennington were restricted to 155-7 by some tight West Witney bowling, before Saurabh Mehrotra scored 82 in West Witney’s 157-3.

Scott Winskill hammered his second successive league century to help Shrivenham 2nd to an 83-run win at home to East & West Hendred 2nd in Division 6.

Winskill smashed 121 in Shrivenham’s 256-6.

Hendred were never in the hunt as they fell to 173 all out, Nigel Hutt top-scoring with 46.

Steventon pushed unbeaten leaders Wolvercote 2nd all the way, only to lose by four runs.

Chris Babbs struck 84 in Wolvercote’s 195-7. Steventon got agonisingly close, only to fall for 191.

Sunil Gill was star with bat and ball for Tetsworth 2nd as they ran out eight-wicket winners at Hanney.

Gill took 3-55 to hold Hanney to 160-6, and then top-scored with an explosive 79 not out as Tetsworth raced to 163-2, Richard Williams chipping in with 51 not out.

Radley 2nd thrashed visitors Faringdon 2nd by 177 runs after an outstanding bowling display from Rezwan Rana.

Muzammil Rehman’s 84 not out helped Radley to 199-5 in their 45 overs.

The visitors had no answer to Rana’s inspired spell of 6-1 as they were skittled out for just 22.

Wootton & Boars Hill 2nd edged out hosts Minster Lovell 3rd by four runs in Division 7.

The visitors bowled out for 155, Omar Hussain top-scoring with 39 and Lyndsay Halliwell taking 5-30. Minster finished short on 151-7.

David Rippington’s 4-4 spell helped Dorchester 2nd to a 91-run win at Chadlington 2nd in Division 8.
