CONOR Taylor hammered a spectacular 145 not out as Shrivenham booked their place in the final of the Airey Cup with a 21-run win at Clifton Hampden on Sunday.

Taylor and Adam Tucker (51) led Shrivenham to 246-8 in their 45 overs.

Clifton Hampden, from OCA League Division 2, put up a brave chase, Richard Beard top-scoring with 71. But Ravi Samant took 4-30 as the home side were held to 225-7.

Faringdon’s Nigel Hume (101) and Ian Oglesby (70no) dominated the Oxenford bowlers to steer the Division 1 leaders to a 48-run victory in Division 1 on Saturday.

None of the other Faringdon batsmen made it into double figures inn their total of 212.

Oxenford replied with 164, Ben Marks taking 5-40.

Adam Tucker smashed 141 and Taylor 54 to help Shrivenham to a 71-run win at Charlbury.

Shrivenham racked up 238-8, before the hosts weredismissed for 167.

In Division 2, there were two centuries at Clifton Hampden, who ran out 37-run winners against Wantage.

Richard Beard hit 103 and Morley Benson 86 in Clifton’s 277-5.

Colin Mercer replied with 100 for Wantage, who were restricted to 240-7.

Wootton & Boars Hill thrashed visitors Chadlingto by 160 runs.

Ben Tew (94) led Wootton to 272-6, before Billy Webb claimed 5-24 as Chadlington were shot out for 112.

Marcham suffered as Kashif Hafeez claimed 7-35 in Kilkenny’s 64-run win at Marcham in Division 3.

Kilkenny posted 209, Stuart Armstrong taking 5-23.

Tristan Barrett scored 53 in Marcham’s reply of 145.

Sunningwell defeated Division 4 leaders Risinghurst by 11 runs.

James Stacey (30) helped the visitors to 161-9 in their 45 overs, Romeo Fernandes (4-47) keeping them in check.

In reply to Steventon’s 161-9 Risingurst fell for 150, Martin Waugh taking 4-5.

Dorchester posted a one-wicket win at home to Deddington.

Gerard Duncan’s 80 not out helped the visitors to post 176-5.

Robert Preston starred with the ball, taking 5-37, but James Neal (48), Ali Line (37) and Jack Stimpson (30) saw Dorchester to 177-9.

Wayne Lyford’s century helped West Ilsley to a 33-run victory at Hailey.

Lyford hammered 103 and Adam Barnes 53 in West Ilsley’s 255 all out, before Hailey were bowled out for 222.

Watlington saw off visitors Uffington by 58 runs thanks to an all-round display from Dave Hansford.

He hit 63 in Watlington’s 181 all out, Tom Fillery taking 4-45.

Hansford then took 3-29 in Uffington’s reply of 123 all out.

In Division 5, Britwell Salome hammered hosts Chipping Norton 2nd by 155 runs.

Hassan Khurshi hit 146 not out and John Chittenden 87 not out as Britwell amassed 248-1.

Zaffir Hussain then claimed 4-27 as Chippy fell to 93 all out.

Radley 2nd just about kept their Diviison 6 title hopes alive with a 16-run win at home to Steventon.

Kester Matthews (48no) and Richard Cook (35) led Radley to 165-5, before Rezwan Rana took 5-33 as Steventon were bowled out for 149.

Faringdon 2nd eased past visitors Kidlington 2nd by eight wickets.

Sahil Kalyan hit 72 in Kidlington’s total of 211-4, but Kevin Huxtable then hammered 92 not out and Simon Cornish 58 not out to lead Faringdon to 214-2.

East & West Hendred 2nd cruised past visitors Hanney by eight wickets.

Hanney were dismissed for 108, before Nigel Bateman struck 41 in Hendred’s 110-2.

Ollie Clark’s 6-24 inspired Uffington 2nd to a 25-run win at home to Wootton & Boars Hill 2nd in Division 7.

The hosts set 174-9, led by Andy Wallbridge’s 36 not out. Clark’s spell then restricted Wootton to 149-8, despite 56 not out from Aidan Steer and 44 from Simon Steer.

Sunningwell 2nd lost to Eynsham 2nd by 87 runs in Division 8.

Eynsham made 233-6, Pete Whinfrey claiming 5-53, before Sunningwell were dismissed for 146.
