FARINGDON remain 15 points clear of Minster Lovell at the top of Division 1 after posting an emphatic 83-run victory at Radley.

Once again it was the Nigel Hume (110) and Rob Owen (104) show as the pair hit centuries in Faringdon’s 295-6.

Hume hammered 110 and Owen 104, while Arfan Younus took 4-82 for the hosts.

Bilal Ali (66) and Shoaib Ahmed (60) shone in Radley’s reply, but Ben Marks (4-30) and Alex Robinshaw (4-41) helped dismiss them for 212.

Shrivenham’s title hopes suffered a setback after losing by one wicket at home to Minster with just four balls remaining.

The hosts set 222-8 as Oxfordshire Under 17 player Charan Chahal hit 98.

Chahal’s county teammate, Archie Spittles then scored 57 and Eddie Dunn 63 not out as Minster edged home at 224-9 in the final over.

East & West Hendred were knocked off the top of Division 2 after an 82-run home defeat to Clifton Hampden.

Richard Beard top-scored with 86 and Rob England scored 52 as Clifton racked up 248-7, Mark Baring claiming 5-23 for the home side.

Baring then scored 35 not out in Hendred’s reply, but he ran out of partners, Tim Allen’s 5-47 condemning them to 166 all out.

Wootton & Boars Hill fell to an 82-run defeat at Witney Swifts.

Josh Grant top-scored with 58 in Swifts’ 162-8, but the star of the show was Charlie Fisher.

He took 6-41 in 12 overs as Wootton were skittled out for just 80 in their reply.

Wantage fell to an agonising one-run defeat at Broughton & North Newington.

Olly Evans (50), Richard Harper (41) and James Taylor (40) helped Broughton to 220-8 in their 45 overs, Tim Weekes claiming 5-48.

In reply, Wantage looked in good shape as Ian Challand top-scored with 67 and James Mabbett scored 51.

But Huw Moseley (4-48) pegged them back, and they were bowled out one run short.

Marcham were undone by Joel Graham’s century in a 106-run defeat to Stanton Harcourt in Division 3.

Graham hit 122 out of Stanton’s 244-9, Stuart Armstrong claiming 4-34.

Ryan Wastie then claimed 5-22 and Andy Walker 3-27 as Marcham were shot out for 138, Armstrong hitting 50.

Martin Key played a starring role for Uffington in their 17-run win at Dorchester in Division 4.

Uffington posted 197 all out, Charlie Harris top-scoring with 61 and Key hitting 30.

Key then claimed 6-36 as Dorchester fell to 180 all out, Adrian Redhead hitting 74.

Sunningwell eased past visitors Hailey by seven wickets.

James Stacey took 4-6 as Hailey were bowled out for 138, before top-scoring with 45 as the hosts cruised to 141-3, Richard Sutton adding 40 not out.

Watlington leapfrogged visitors Swinbrook into second place with a 79-run victory.

Chris Allen’s 61 was the main contribution in Watlington’s 191 all out, Mark Reed taking 4-64 and Andrew Wingfield Digby 3-22.

Swinbrook got nowhere near the target, falling for 112 as Owen Lewis took 3-9, Charlie Fitchett 3-16 and Neil Maguire 3-25.

Deddington won a tight match at West Ilsley by 11 runs.

Batting first, they posted a competitive 236-6 as Gerard Duncan scored 66 not out and Maneesh Verma 56.

West Ilsley were always in the hunt as John Bowness (63) led the way.

But tight bowling at the death ensured they finished sure on 225-6.

Britwell Salome hammered visitors Great Horwood 2nd by 195 runs in Division 5.

Steve Strong (87) and John Chittenden (67) led Britwell to a formidable 250-4, which was way beyond Horwood, who fell for just 55 as Nick Humphries took 3-14.

Kennington were too strong for hosts Charlbury 2nd in a 139-run win.

Graham Rowley and Ben Andre both hit 74 in Kennington’s 270-7, before Russell Vircavs claimed 4-26 as Charlbury were bowled out for 131.

Faringdon 2nd saw off visitors Hanney by 27 runs in Division 6.

Kevin Huxtable (63) and Dave Johnson (57) helped Faringdon to 243-4 in their 45 overs, and then Andy Liddiard took 3-70 as Hanney were bowled out for 216.

Radley 2nd defeated visitors Tetsworth 2nd by 19 runs.

Peter Burrows (41) top-scored in Radley’s 162-9.

Reggie Isaac shone with 61 in Tetsworth’s reply, but 4-25 from Rezwan Rana and 3-34 from Richard Cook saw Tetsworth fall for 143.

In Division 7, Uffington 2nd beat visitors Kilkenny 2nd by 30 runs.

Cameron Welsh (77no) and Ollie Clarke (53) shone in Uffington’s 226-5, before Martin Taylor returned figures of 6-64 in Kilkenny’s 196 all out.

In Division 8, Risinghurst 2nd closed the gap on leaders Stanton Harcourt 2nd with a 78-run win against Sunningwell 2nd.

Mark Salter (79) led the way in Risinghurst’s 240-6, Dom Whinfrey taking 3-41 and Pete Whinfrey 3-66.

Geoff Corps then hit 54 in Sunningwell’s reply, but they were way off the target, closing on 162-8.
