BILLY Webb claimed 5-59 to help Wootton & Boars Hill to a seven-run win at Stonesfield in Division 1 of the OCA League on Saturday.

Sean Holley fell five runs short of a century for Stonesfield in their 185 all out.

This was in response to Wootton’s 195-5, for whom Oliver Moreton hit 61 not out.

Faringdon recorded a three-wicket win at Witney Swifts.

Restricting Swifts to 127-7, Nigel Hume then scored 45 as Faringdon reached 130-7.

East & West Hendred lost by seven wickets to Yarnton & Cowley.

In a game switched from Yarnton’s ground, which was unfit, Hendred were all out for 111. Uzair Ahmed then hit 42 to steer Yarnton home at 113-3.

Wantage lost by five wickets at home to Chipping Norton.

Mark Stanway took 5-31 as the hosts were all out for 112, Will Harvey top-scoring with 45. Chippy eased home at 113-5.

Dorchester fell to a seven-wicket defeat at home to Kilkenny.

Daniel Floyd (51no) and Josh Bishop (48) led the way as the west Oxfordshire side successfully chased down Dorchester’s 136 all out, for whom Adrian Redhead hit 56.

Marcham had a comfortable five-wicket win at home to Chadlington, after Andrew Horseman (4-11) had skittled out the visitors for 71.

Shrivenham conceded the first league century of the season but still beat hosts Ducklington in Division 4.

George Townsend hit 111 in Ducklington’s 254 all out.

But the home side had a bowler removed for bowling two high no balls and also conceded 18 penalty runs due to a slow overrate.

Innings of 52 from Scott Winskill, 48 from Alex Bowles and 42 from Matt Haywood saw Shrivenham home at 255-7.

Steventon beat Fringford by 75 runs. They were all out for 140, but a spell 4-9 from Mithun Sortur helped to bowl the opposition out for 65.

Radley’s Ali Malik returned superb figures of 7-21 to help his side to a 43-run win at Sunningwell.

Earlier, Ashley Pike (73) led Radley to 191-7, before Malik’s magnificent spell sent Sunningwell tumbling to 148 all out.

In Division 6, Dorchester 2nd lost away to Wolvercote 3rd by 54 runs.

Shan Irfan hit 63 in the hosts’ 139-9, while David Quinn took 4-8 as Dorchester were bowled out for 85.

There was a welcome return to the OCA from Harwell International, who began their Division 7 South campaign with a seven-wicket win against visitors Sunningwell 2nd.

Lee Bainbrigge took 3-7 as Harwell bowled Sunningwell out for 77, and then Afzal Hussain hit 37 to lead Harwell to 80-3.

Faringdon 2nd lost to Bampton 2nd by one wicket off the last ball in a thrilling clash.

Faringdon set 223-3 in their 45 overs, Jonathan Moore top-scoring with 74.

Richard Pitt (82) and Gerald Holford (53no) then combined to steer Bampton home at the death.
