A hostile opening burst by Challow & Childrey's Australian Ben Jones set them on the way to a nine-wicket win at Sandford St Martin in Division 2 of The Oxford Times Cherwell League on Saturday.
Jones took 5-20 in a 12-over spell that helped reduce Sandford to 33-6.
Will Bartholomew (50) led a fightback that included a 53-run tenth-wicket partnership with Simon Smith (23).
Replying to Sandford's 135 all out, Jimmy Phillips (66no) and Ian Demain (52no) saw Challow to victory.
Abingdon Vale were skittled for 90 by Bourton Vale at Hales Meadow.
Ryan Newhook was Abingdon's destroyer, taking 7-39 in a near unplayable 14-over spell.
Nick Rivett top-scored for the hosts with 33, while Charlie Garratt (39no) hit the highest score of the match in Bourton’s 91-1.
Kingston Bagpuize were to regret asking Bledlow Ridge to bat first in Division 3, as the visitors racked up 275-7 dec in 51 overs.
Tom Scrase snr took 5-106 as Martin Middleton (88), Simon Bird (45) and Ben Keeping (44) made hay.
Kingston’s Rob Keates then made 71 and Marco Cecchini 41, but once wickets fell to Harsh Tatania (4-103), they closed on 223-7.
Wallingford missed the chance to go top of Division 5 when they drew at Chearsley.
Neil Davies starred with 91 out of the home side's 190-8, then Nick Babington took 6-71 as the visitors were restricted to 170-8, in which Alan Bowman scored 45.
Abingdon Vale 2nd's batsmen had a good day at Challow & Childrey 2nd, where they scored 242-4 thanks to Lewis Kenworthy (83) and Phil Evans (66).
But Challow's Ryan Gordon hit back with 102 as the home side played out time with relative ease to finish on 183-6.
Wallingford 2nd won their Division 8 clash with Banbury 4th, despite an opposition bowler taking four wickets in four balls.
Ricky Prescott's 7-43 set up Wallingford’s first win of the season – a two-wicket thriller.
James Mitchelmore's 41 was the highlight of Banbury's 142 all out.
Wallingford were seemingly cruising to victory at 139-3 before Adnan Iqbal struck with four wickets in four balls.
He then took a fifth to leave Wallingford at 141-8.
However, young opener Joe Edwards was still there to complete the win with a composed 55 not out on debut.
