CRICKET: Abingdon duo's coaching honour

ABINGDON Vale duo Paul White and Phil Evans received special coaching awards from former England captain Michael Atherton.
The pair were nominated for their outstanding contribution to coaching in Oxfordshire, and after an English Cricket Board panel approved the proposal, the duo received their awards at the Oval during the final Test between England and India.
White, a level three coach who is the Oxfordshire Ladies’ team manager, said: “It was a real honour to receive this award.”
Evans, who is heavily involved in developing Abingdon’s youth section, is a level two coach.
