A deer had to be shot by the police after it was hit by a car on the outskirts of Penryn this weekend.
The animal was knocked down in the Lower Treluswell area at around 9.30am on Saturday.
Its injuries were so severe that the police could not help it and as a vet was unavailable, a firearms officers dealt with the animal.
At the last report, the driver of the car was said to be uninjured.
