Damian Batt has been linked with a move to Major League Soccer side Vancouver Whitecaps.

The right back was among a group of 12 players released by Oxford United in May and remains a free agent.

But, according to reports in North America, the 28-year-old is on trial with the Canadian club, whose squad includes Scotland striker Kenny Miller.

Batt tweeted on Saturday he was flying to Vancouver, before posting a photograph of the Whitecaps’ BC Place stadium, saying “Looks like this is going to be my new home for football #MLS.
