DIDCOT Town’s play-off hopes are still alive after a 4-2 home victory over Larkhall Athletic last night.

Andy Ballard’s side needed to win their final three games to have a chance of the Evo-Stik South League West Division’s top six.

And the Railwaymen took the lead when Marlon Agyakwa drilled home on 27 minutes.

Three minutes later it was 1-1 when home defender Cameron McNeill sliced a clearance into his own net off the bar.

Just 90 seconds later Didcot went back in front when Lewis Hayden played a one-two with Felipe Barcelos before slotting home his first goal of the season.

Larkhall again drew level when Alex Lambert scored from distance, but Didcot sealed victory with two goals from Barcelos.

Ballard’s side are three points outside the play-offs, but with a game in hand on all of their rivals.

A win over North Leigh tomorrow night will put Didcot in the top six on goal difference.

North Leigh enjoyed a superb 5-1 victory at Barnstaple Town.

Liam Carroll (2), Jordan Lymn, Declan Shepperd and Josh Thomas found the net.

  • OXFORD City played out a 0-0 draw at Braintree Town.

An uneventful Vanarama National League South clash saw few chances at either end.

City almost took an early lead, but Kavan Cotter blazed wide.

They almost paid an immediate price, goalkeeper Craig King racing back to hack a stray backpass off his own line.

After the break Ben Wyatt went close for the hosts, but he shot straight at King.

Oxford City: King, Godwin-Malife, Henderson, Poku, Musonda, Oastler, McEachran (Fleet 83), Fofana, Paterson, Forde (Sinclair 68), Cotter. Subs not used: Grant, Jones, Stevens.
