Michael Ingham (in green) lost at Wembley in 2010
MICHAEL Ingham is looking to get one over Oxford United tomorrow after being part of the York City side which lost in the play-off final at Wembley in 2010.
The experienced goalkeeper played in the 3-1 defeat at Wembley, which saw the U’s return to the Football League.
The 32-year-old is one of only two survivors from the squad, along with Danny Parslow, who is likely to play tomorrow.
While Ingham believes that result means there is an added rivalry for York’s supporters, it is even more important for him to make amends on the pitch.
He said: “From the football club's point of view, they will probably be the rivals in this division, possibly apart from Bradford, because of past history.
“I don't think it will be as big as Luton for the fans but myself and Dan Parslow, who were here for that Wembley game, will be trying to put things right.”
