Didcot Town Youth Under 10s enjoyed a highly successful time in the Isle of Wight Festival of Football, only losing the play-off final in a penalty shoot-out.
The team remained unbeaten in seven group games, against the best opposition from the Isle of Wight & teams from London & Kent, winning six of them.
They scored 23 goals and conceded just two.
As a result the team topped the league group.
After a goalless draw in a play-off final against the group runners-up, Ebbsfleet United, Didcot lost a penalty shoot-out 3-2.
However, they still returned home unbeaten and with a large trophy and medals, presented to them by former Southampton and England star Matt Le Tissier.
The highlight of their tournament was Bradle Ward’s goal from the halfway line against Brading. The team, whose home kit is sponsored by Tescos, Didcot, are managed by Chris Hedges and Chris Morley and coached by Tom Harris.
