WANTAGE Town came from behind to beat a much-changed Didcot Town side 4-1 in the first round of the Southern League’s Red Insure Cup.
The visitors took the lead through Charlie Noble’s first senior goal two minutes before the break.
But Wantage hit back as Stuart Cattell levelled, before Ben Whitehead put the hosts in front.
Dominic Roberts then hit a late double to seal victory.
Wantage blew a two-goal lead as they went down 3-2 at home to Larkhall Athletic in Division 1 South & West on Saturday.
Whitehead put the hosts ahead on 50 minutes and ten minutes later, he made it 2-0 from the spot after Nick Thorne had been brought down.
Larkhall Jamie Lyons found the net, before James Billing equalised with eight minutes remaining.
The visitors secured victory as Dan Cleverley scored their third on 85 minutes.
Jamie Essex scored twice as Abingdon United secured a 3-0 victory over Brackley Town Saints at Northcourt Road.
Essex opened the scoring on 52 minutes in the Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division encounter.
Kieran Cochrane’s penalty made it 2-0 on 65 minutes. And Essex completed the scoring five minutes later.
In Division 1 West, Elliot Harper was sent off as Letcombe lost 3-0 at Tytherington Rocks.
