ASHLEY Searle struck twice to help Wallingford Town to a 3-1 victory over local rivals Crowmarsh Gifford in North Berks League Division 1, writes Phil Annets.
Micky Bone also scored for the hosts, with Phil Hedges netting the consolation for Crowmarsh.
There was also a 3-1 win for Wallingford Town Res in Division 4, away to Kennington Athletic.
Craig Passey, Martyn Newbold and Joe Webber were on target for the visitors, with Tom Briggs grabbing a goal for Kennington.
Callum Stewart hit a hat-trick for Sutton Courtenay Res to fire them into the semi-finals of the League Cup with a 5-2 away triumph over Watlington Town Res.
Anthony Godfrey and Jack Dingwall scored their other two goals, while Andy Wright and Charles Selwood replied for the home side.
Connor Crofts was on target for Benson Lions, but it was scant consolation as they were thrashed 7-1 at Heyford Athletic in the quarter-finals of the John Fathers Oxfordshire Junior Shield.
