Didcot Town made it three wins out three in 2016 as they won 1-0 at Evesham United in Evo-Stik Southern League Division 1 South & West on Saturday.
A 30-yard strike from Graham Edney settled it in the 53rd minute of the game which was played on a heavy pitch.
Good football was difficult on the tricky surface.
Didcot were assisted when Evesham’s Lance Smith was sent off for a second yellow card early in the second half.
Marvin Martin could have doubled the score late on, but was denied by Evesham keeper Kevin Sawyer.
The Railwaymen will be hoping to keep the good run going when they entetain Shortwood United on Saturday.

Wantage Town’s match at home to Yate Town was called off due to a waterlogged pitch.
They travel to Marlow on Saturday, in search of a win which would take them away from the relegation zone.
