CALLUM McCormack hit a hat-trick to help Stanford in the Vale to a convincing 4-0 victory at home to Lambourn Sports in North Berks League Division 1, writes RICHARD UNDERWOOD.

David Griffin also scored as the home side ended a seven-match winless run in blistering style.

East Hendred are now eight points clear of the foot of the table after a surprise 4-3 home win over reigning champions Kintbury Rangers.

Matty Cramp (2), Chris Whitworth and Bill McDonald scored for Hendred, while the visitors replied through a Charlie Allsop double and a Toby Bridges strike.

Goals from Andy Hope, Matt Woodside and Sam Bishop earned Hanney United a 3-3 draw away to Kintbury Rangers Res in Division 2.

Craig Bruce (2) and Mickey Annetts scored for the hosts.

Dorchester won 4-1 at Faringdon Town Res, thanks to two goals from Ben Parry and further efforts from Jordan Lyne and Tom Nicholls.

Ian Ward netted for the home side.

Benson Lions went top of Division 3 for the first time this season with a 6-0 thumping of Compton.

Jordan Jones netted twice and Luke Linstead, Luke Vincent, Lee Dixon and Jack Walsh were also on target.

Westminster booked their semi-final spot in the Charity Shield as they defeated Long Wittenham Athletic 4-2 after extra time.

Steve Malloy and Sam McDermaid struck for Wittenham to ensure it finished honours even after 90 minutes, but it was the Division 2 side who progressed as Harry Ackland and Simon Joyce netted a brace each.

Saxton Rovers Res went down to a shock 3-2 defeat to Division 5 Coleshill United Res in the semi-finals of the AG Kingham Cup.

Despite goals from Harry Winn and Niall Hodgkins, the Division 3 side were dumped out of the competition by their lower league opponents, courtesy of efforts from Jack Pedder, Jordan Clarke and Mathew Budgen.

Grove Rangers Res also claimed their place in the final with a 2-0 victory over a depleted Long Wittenham Athletic Res, who played the entire match with ten men.

Matt Hammond scored both Grove goals, first converting a disputed spot-kick before heading a second late on.
