IN-FORM Didcot Town must dig deep to continue their rise up the table, according to boss Andy Ballard.

The Railwaymen are looking for their fifth successive Evo-Stik South League victory tomorrow at AFC Totton.

Ballard’s men are up to third in the West Division following an excellent run of results.

Goals from Marlon Agyakwa (2) and Felipe Barcelos helped Didcot beat Larkhall Athletic 3-2 in midweek, despite being 2-0 down early on.

The victory was made even more satisfying as they were without several players.

Ballard said: “Wednesday was tough.

“We had five injured and four arrived late because of an accident on the M4.

“This probably led to us being 2-0 down after five minutes, but credit to the lads, they really battled hard and deserved the win.”

Despite the impressive run, Ballard insists Didcot will not rest on their laurels.

He said: “There’s a great feeling in the squad at the moment, and we are starting to see the consistency needed at this level.

“But Totton have also had a decent start to the season, so we will really need to dig deep to continue this run.”

Didcot will have to make do without Sam Barder, who is ruled out for at least six weeks with a knee injury.

Callum McNish is also side-lined with a knee problem, while Sam Parish (knee) and Michael Alexis (hamstring) face fitness tests.

Seth Humphries is unavailable.
