LONG Wittenham Athletic hit five goals for the second successive week as they beat East Hendred 5-0, writes Richard Underwood.

An own goal, plus strikes from Steve Pyne, Will Houseman, Lewis Monahan and Arran Colley gave them the points in the North Berks League Division 1 fixture.

Westminster stormed back to the top as they eased to a 5-2 victory at Stanford in the Vale.

Cameron Lagan led the way with a brace, with Michael Hooton, Dan Hill and Luke Lewis-Rippington also on target.

Stanford hit back through a double from Josh Vaughan.

In Division 2, Saxton Rovers Res picked up a fine 4-0 victory against visitors Watlington Town, keeping them six points clear at the top.

Their goals came from Henry Hall, Pat Mannix, Ryan Drew and Scott Macarthur.

Ardington beat Benson Lions 7-1 as Jamie Gregory smashed a four-timer.

Nick Wilkins, Tom Eatwell and Luke Faircloth also found the net, while Jordan Jones replied.

Cholsey United stayed top of Division 3, with a 7-2 victory over visitors Uffington United.

Goals from James Purdue (2), Liam Woods (2), Howard Hawkins, Steve Hawes and Craig Passey gave them victory, with Dalton Harefield and Chris Bell replying.

Ben Eltham’s brace and a strike from Tom North earned East Hendred Res a 3-2 victory at Drayton.

Josh Dennis and Carl Bolton were on target for the home side.

In Division 4, Hagbourne United Res lost 3-2 to Cumnor Minors U21.

Jordan Howe (2) and Levi Webb scored for Cumnor, with George Smith and Jake Lee replying

Blewbury booked their place in the next round of the War Memorial Cup after a 3-1 win against Compton.

Charles Jamison, Boyan Thorpe and Jason McCabe netted, while Mike Booroff hit back for Compton.

Division 1 side Hanney United saw off Division 4 outfit Hanney 66 3-0, with goals from Neil Pimm, James Bishop and Matt Woodside.

Charlie Silkstone hit a four-timer in Wallingford Town Res’s 7-0 victory over North Oxford.

Matt Williams, Cedric Nkouh and Dan Walkingshaw scored the others.
