DIVISION 3 side Marcham pulled off a shock as they claimed a 3-1 victory over Division 2 outfit Crowmarsh in the second round of the North Berks League Cup, writes Richard Underwood.

Steve Mundy, Damien Perks and Tom Coates scored their goals, while Harvey Priddey hit back for Crowmarsh.

Holders Berinsfield ran out 5-1 victors in their third-round tie against Hanney United.

Brian Rawlings, Simon Kenny, Luke Saunders, Charlie Lee and Mark Ingram netted, with Andy Hope replying.

Saxton Rovers Res went back to the top of Division 2 after ending Blewbury’s impressive run of 11 wins in a row with a 2-1 victory.

Visitors Blewbury went in front when Arran Grey looped a shot into the net, but Saxton hit back to equalise through George Goodenoug.

In the second half, Saxton wrapped up the points when Louis Bloomfield crossed to Tom Stanley to head home.

Faringdon Town Res picked up their first win of the season, seeing off Sutton Courtenay 3-2.

Their goals came from Adam Sly (2) and Mark Loveridge, while Jack Dingwall and Rhys Griffiths replied.

Long Wittenham Res closed the gap on the Division 3 leaders as they won 5-2 at Lambourn Res.

Jay Mace and Will Vaukins scored twice and Andy Sutherland once.

Lambourn finished with nine men as Kean Greening and Dan Jones were both sent off.

Mickey Bone hit a hat-trick to help Cholsey United to a 6-1 win against basement boys Uffington United.

Lewis Griffiths, Steve Hawes and Elliot Middleton scored their others, with Pete Byrne replying.

In Division 4, Watlington Town Res hit eight for the second week running as they hammered Berinsfield Res 8-1.

Sam Carter-Knight, Darren Outten and Adam Butler all bagged braces, with Steve Outten and Tom Andrews also hitting the target.Jon Welch grabbed a consolation goal.

Marcham Res thumped Appleford 8-3.

Darren Webster and Jonny Lloyd both claimed hat-tricks, with further goals coming from Cameron Chalmers and Michael Allen-Bloomfield.
