DIDCOT Town boss Andy Ballard insists his players will be fully focused on the task in hand against Mangotsfield United tomorrow ahead of their impending cup final.

The Railwaymen host the Gloucestershire side, hoping to keep their Evo-Stik South League West Division play-off bid on track.

Didcot have a chance of silverware two days later in the bigfreebet.com Challenge Cup against Hitchin Town when they look to preserve their 100 per cent record in finals.

But for now the league comes first and Ballard is under no illusions of the importance of tomorrow’s clash.

He said: “We will be totally prepared for Mangotsfield.

“We have worked hard on our attacking qualities and will go into the game full of confidence.

“It would be a massive three points if we can get a win.”

Ballard must make do without defender Sam Elkins, who is ruled out with a knee injury, but has otherwise a full-strength squad.

North Leigh make the trip to Yate Town as they bid to pull away from their precarious position just above the relegation zone.

Jamie Cook is a doubt (knee) and Anthony Simpson is suspended, while Piers McGlynn and Ben Strong are unavailable.

Ryan Paddock has left the club and has joined Cinderford.

Kidlington host high-flying Wimborne Town at Yarnton Road.

Boss Julian McCalmon is without Lewis Coyle, who has suffered a long-term knee injury.

Mark West has set a target of at least six more wins for Thame United in the East Division, starting tomorrow at Fleet Town.

Although the boss has been pleased with his side’s first season back in the South League, he does not want to rest on his laurels, and is still targeting a top-half finish.

West said: “I’ve told the lads that we don’t want to just dwindle away for the rest of the season.

“We want to finish as high as we can, as that will hopefully give us momentum for next season.”

After a 6-0 defeat at Rushden, Thame recovered to beat Marlow 4-0, and West was pleased with his side’s reaction.

“The defeat at Rushden wasn’t as bad as it suggests,” he said.

“It was just one of those games where everything they hit went in.

“To bounce back so well against Marlow was really pleasing, I just told the lads to put it behind them, which they did.”

West names an unchanged squad.

Banbury United will bid to extend their unbeaten run to eight games when they travel to Royston Town in the Premier Division.
