CALLUM McNish was sent off as Didcot Town were held to a 1-1 draw by visitors Cinderford Town on Saturday.
The Gloucestershire scored late on to dent the Railwaymen’s play-off hopes in the West Division of the Evo-Stik South League.
Didcot boss Andy Ballard was forced into a trio of changes with Stuart Cattell suffering a foot injury, while Morgan Williams and Felipe Barcelos were unavailable.
The hosts were slow to get going with the changes and the poor weather affecting their play.
In a scrappy half neither keeper was seriously tested.
The visitors had the best chance when Matt McDonald’s strike beat Leigh Bedwell, but struck the bar and was cleared.
The match erupted early in the second half when McNish was felled by Liam Angel
The Didcot player lost his cool and reacted to the challenge, which led to a red card.
Despite being a man down, Didcot went in front with their first testing effort of the game in the 59th minute.
Some clever play by George Reid saw him fire shot past Cinderford keeper Joe Clarke and into the net off a post.
The visitors pressed for an equaliser and they levelled in the 89th mninute.
Richard Greaves headed home to deny Didcot a precious victory and a place back in the play off-spots
