FOOTBALL: New Milton chairman seeks recipe for success

Local businessman Kenny Shaw is the new chairman of Milton United.

Shaw, the proprietor of the Ridgeway Cafe Group, takes over from stand-in chairman Roger Bartlett, who filled the role during a disastrous last season for the FTL Futbol Hellenic League club.

Not only were the club rtelergated to Divison 1 East, but there were a number of resignations from the committee.

Bartlett intends to retain some involvement and is keen to promote the club.

There are still a couple of essential positions to fill, with a new secretary the main priority.

Milton’s management team of Bobby Wilkinson and Albie Stephenson, the respective first and second team managers, are still on the look-out for new players.
