OXFORD Harlequins suffered defeat on the last day of their National League 3 South West campaign with a 59-14 loss at Bournemouth.
Quins, who were already relegated to South West 1 East, were within five points after 60 minutes, but poor tackling cost them dear as the hosts stormed to a bonuspoint win.
Forced into three last minute changes, Quins found themselves 7-0 down after 11 minutes when scrum half Sam Hardcastle scored.
Lewis Dennett converted.
Bournemouth increased their lead on 20 minutes when flanker Jack Hennings went over.
Quins restored some hope at half-time when Allan Purchase drove over.

Fly half Huw Dimond added the extras.
Harlequins pressed strongly in the second half, but Bournemouth made it 19-7 when Hennings scored again and Dennett converted.
Minutes later, Quins brought themselves back within five points as Jonathan Miller crossed. Dimond kicked the extras.
However, the visitors were unable to edge in front and went on to score six tries, five of which were converted.
Wingers Wyn Roberts and Dan Connelly both crossed twice, while Adam Higgins and Scott Chislett also dived over the line.
