MATT Williams is urging Chinnor to keep their eyes on the prize at Clifton and not be distracted by next week’s potential title-decider.

Five points separate the Thame-based club and leaders Bishop’s Stortford in National League 2 South ahead of their showdown at Kingsey Road on April 1.

But first Chinnor must beat mid-table Clifton, and director of rugby Williams knows the importance of picking up another bonus-point win to keep the pressure on the Hertfordshire side.

He said: “It’s an interesting week because it would be easy to fall into the realms of looking over your shoulder at the next game.

“But we can’t afford to do that, so we need to knuckle down and focus on this Saturday.”

Chinnor will be without captain Danny Barnes and scrum half Greg Goodfellow, who are both away, so Junior Fatialofa and Connor Adams come into the side.

Williams added: “We have a very strong squad and for exact moments like this it’s about boys pulling their weight.

“Any team missing a centre, particularly of Danny Barnes’s calibre, would be nervous, but I’ve got Junior coming back in, so I’m blessed with a strong squad.

“The boys know that winning games at this stage is key, but winning games with a bonus point is vital.”

In the pack, Nathan Hannay starts in the second row.

Alan Awcock returns from suspension as Henley Hawks travel to struggling Worthing.

The former London Welsh back had been sidelined for six weeks after being sent off for a punch against Bury St Edmunds in January, but starts at full back tomorrow.

Oskar Hirskyj-Douglas returns from England sevens duty, while Harry Burn starts at scrum half in place of George Jackson (Achilles).

Oxford Harlequins host leaders Maidenhead in South West 1 East.

Prop Matt Edney switches to loose head as he plays his last game before going to New Zealand for a year.

Pete Boulton reverts to tight head, with Michael Ojo starting at lock, while Huw Dimond, Ed Yeats and Sam Watkinson return.

Witney hope to cement fourth place when they travel to Old Centralians.

Charlie Dyde and Matt Clarke are in the starting XV.

Banbury visit Royal Wootton Bassett and Grove take on Reading.

The top two meet in the BB&O Championship, with Wheatley bidding to be the first team to beat champions Littlemore this season.
