TWO tries from Mark Wilson helped Abingdon win 31-15 at Wheatley in the BB&O Championship.

Lock Vince Barnes crashed over for Abingdon’s opening try, converted by fly half Mark Roberts.

James Pollard replied with a try for Wheatley, but scores from centre Wilson and wing James Webb, plus a Roberts conversion made it 19-5 at the break.

Wheatley, who felt they should have won the game, hit back with two tries from Jason Wilson.

Abingdon sealed the win with further tries from their own Wilson and centre Jim Crossland’s 80-metre interception score, Roberts converting one.

Harwell saw off title rivals Aylesbury Athletic 20-10 with a solid display.

Andy Lee, Luke Blewett and Joe Pigott scored first-half tries, while Aylesbury replied with a penalty.

Jordan Morrison’s try sealed Harwell’s bonus point, while Aylesbury managed a late converted score.

Didcot beat Winslow 21-7 in their bottom-of-the-table clash.

Andy Pynegar scored two tries with Sam Lacy adding another. Paul Costello converted all three.
