White Horse Harriers’ Ian Lambourn was the first vet 50 man home at the Hooky Christmas Canter.
Lambourn completed the 12km multi-terrain course in 46mins 51secs to finish eighth overall at Hook Norton.
Clubmate Tim Hughes was the second vet 60, coming 16th in 48.47.
Meanwhile, Paul Jegou finished fourth in the Wessex Cross Country League standings after coming tenth in the final round at at Canford Magna in Dorset.
The White Horse Harrier clocked 27.20.
His father and clubmate, Richard Jegou, finished the year with two season’s bests at the Swindon Invitationa Throws Triathlon.
l Paul Fernandez was a comfortable winner at Abingdon AC’s Christmas Pud Run half marathon.
Fernandez clocked 1hr 16mins 29secs to lead home Richard Kemp (1.23.40) and Chris Bedford (1.30.13), who was the first vet 40 man home.
Carrie Bolton took the ladies’ honours in 1.49.42.
