EDDIE Pepperell produced a terrific final round to claim joint eighth place in the Alfred Dunhill Championship at Leopard Creek, South Africa.
The Abingdon ace hit a four-under-par 68 to pick up around £23,000 after ending on a seven-under-par total of 281.
Pepperell, who plays at Frilford Heath, failed to build on a superb second-round 65 when he shot 74 on Saturday.
But Sunday’s effort, which saw him birdie four of the final six holes in a rousing finish, helped him shoot back up the standings.
Pepperell ended four shots off second place, but was eight behind tournament winner Charl Schwartzel.
