Marlborough B beat Moreton A 6-4 in Division 1 of the Didcot & District League thanks to another maximum from James Lovelock – this despite only having two players.
A maximum from Ray Powell helped Marlborough C to a 7-3 win over Marlborough A to consolidate their position at the top of the table.
RAL A managed a 9-1 win over RAL B in the Appleton Laboratories derby which puts them within striking distance of the division leaders.
Upton B went down 7-2 against a strong Letcombe side despite taking an early lead, with Richard Taylor's maximum steadying the Letcombe ship.
In Division 3, Grove A won a close contest against RAL D 6-4 thanks to a maximum from Ashley Cooper.
It was not a good week for RAL with the E side beaten 8-2 by Moreton C after being all square at 2-2 early on.
Marlborough F kept up their promotion hopes with a 7-3 win over Abingdon B thanks to maximums from Keith Jepson and Mark Kay.
In Division 4, Marlborough G drew with Drayton E thanks to a maximum from Dave Langton.Arthur Anstis's maximum helped Hanney A to a 6-4 win over Marlborough H to go second in Division 4.
A good result for a new team. In Division 5 Hanney’s B team unfortunately lost to Sandford who had a maximum from Jason Henry to thank in their 7-3 win. The other tie in this week saw Grove B winning a close match over Drayton G thanks to a maximum from Jack Buckley.
