WEST Ilsley trainer Mick Channon achieved the notable feat of sending out winners at four different courses on Saturday.

The fabulous 920-1 four-timer was sparked by 5-4 favourite Racemaker, who claimed a six-furlong selling stakes at Ripon by half a length from Coco Le Belle under Charlie Bishop.

Five minutes later at Newmarket, Oisin Murphy did the honours aboard Kiruna Peak (5-2 favourite), who pipped Conqueress by a short head in a seven-furlong maiden auction fillies’ stakes.

Channon, who was at the Curragh to see Harlequeen finish a creditable third to Seventh Heaven in the Darley Irish Oaks, had to wait until Lingfield’s evening meeting for his third success when 12-1 shot Whiteley claimed a six-furlong nursery.

And the across-the-country four-timer was completed by 8-1 chance Blacklister in the last race of the day.

The West Ilsley trainer had enjoyed success earlier in the week with Kassia, who followed up last month’s Bath win by returning to the Somerset track to take an extended five-furlong handicap.

Hughie Morrison’s East Ilsley string have also been in sparkling form, with Sweet Selection and Field Game recording a 25-1 double at Newbury.

Sweet Selection completed a hat-trick when taking the longest Flat race to be run at the Berkshire course – a handicap over two-and-a-quarter miles under Ryan Moore.

Field Game completed the double by coming from last to first in a six-furlong apprentices’ handicap.

Morrison was also on the mark with last-gasp Newmarket winner Dutch Law and 14-1 shot Hellfire at Windsor.

Paul Cole’s Whatcombe stables also struck at the Thameside venue with Against The Odds, while Blewbury trainer Eve Johnson Houghton sent out Patanjali to score at Yarmouth.
