WALLINGFORD chalked up another Victor Ludorum with wins in seven of the 15 finals they contested at Henley Town and Visitors Regatta, writes John Wiggins.
The club dominated in doubles, which produced five of their victories.
These came from brothers David and James Willcox in the junior events, as well as women’s Masters D (Alice Brown and Julia Wilks).
The Masters F event was won by Ian Wilkinson and Kevin Houston, the women’s senior by Jessie Spivey and Gemma White, while the mixed IM3 double went to Georgia Mae-Frye and Max Thompson who are both still only 16.
The other two victories came in the men’s IM3 coxed four – the first win of the season for Richard Thwaites, James Wright, Rob Hines, Jonathan Mentor and cox, Fiona Tomlin – and the women’s IM1 quad scull of Jennifer Cullom, Leigh-Ann Bard, Katherine Butler and Samantha Burrows
Wallingford also had five second and three third places.
