BERINSFIELD’S fighters endured mixed fortunes with two wins and a narrow defeat.
Senior elite middleweight Matthew Bottomley enjoyed victory over Jubilee BC’s Bradley Bassey on a unanimous points decision in Slough.
He settled in quickly, using his jab to good effect, before showing good combination punching in the second round.
Both fighters threw big shots in the third, but the Bottomley managed to land cleaner hits and secured victory.
Joel Pownceby dominated all three rounds in Woking to beat local boxer Harvey Oriss.
But Lloyd Smith lost on a split decision to Ben McCarthy-Cheeseman despite a strong performance.
In a technical battle, Smith looked to have the upper hand over the three rounds, but was narrowly beaten.
