Meanwhile, Todd Stanmore, winner of three Oxford City junior titles last month, carried his successful run into the Oxfordshire School Championships, held at Marlborough School, Woodstock.
The Abingdon Prep pupil beat Toby Dow (Warriner School, Banbury) to land the boys under 13 title, without dropping a set.
The under 16 crown went to Abingdon School’s Rafe Fleming, who beat Warriner’s Ollie Keen in straight sets in the final.
The nationally-ranked Pelin Karabulut, from the European School at Culham, easily won the girls' under 13 crown.
