THERE was success for Abingdon RC scullers when the club opened their regatta season at Leicester over the weekend.
Competing in the single sculls on the Grand Union Canal, Bev Ashton won the Masters B/C singles straight final.
Clubmate Caitlin Donaldson eased through two heats before dominating the final of the J16 event.
Both are coached by Caitlin’s father Adam.
