PETE Downham is aiming to help turn Didcot Barramundi into a “major force” after being appointed as their new head coach.
He arrives after holding senior positions at a variety of clubs, including City of St Albans, Braintree and UEA City of Norwich.
Downham said: “This is a very exciting time for the club and I look forward to guiding the swimmers to the success that their dedication to their chosen sport deserves.
“Together with our coaching team, army of volunteers and highly-professional committee we will become a major force over the next two to three years.
“We are already attracting interest from high-level swimmers who want to join us on our journey.”
