PAUL Dann, from Didcot, was a runaway winner in the ninth round of the Ace Tackle & Bait Oxford Carp League at Barston Fishery in the West Midlands.
Dann had a bag of big f1 carp caught on the pellet waggler, weighing 125lb 14oz 0drms which eclipsed the field.
Runner up was local angler Roy Beasley (Solihull) with 86.2.0, while another Didcot competitor, Dave Hawkins, came third with 85.0.0, which included three big carp.
Gary Kelsey (Didcot) was fourth and Gerry Foley (Kidlington) fifth
League standings: C Partridge 38, D Hawkins 39, S Johnson 40, P Dann 42, G Foley 44, G Kelsey 45, D Roberts 45.
TEN-YEAR-OLD Rio Baker, from Abingdon, caught this grass carp at Lower Court Farm Chadlington.
The fish, estimated to weigh about 12lb, was taken on the pole at six metres on a single grain of sweetcorn.
