EDDIE Pepperell climbed to 89th in the European Tour rankings after securing his best finish for two years.
The Abingdon golfer carded a final-round four-under-par 68 for a tie for fifth place at the D+D Real Czech Masters in Prague.
Pepperell headed into the last day on four-under and put in a strong display.
Birdies at the sixth, 11th, 14th and 18th saw the Frilford Heath member climb the leaderboard to finish five shots behind winner Haydn Porteous.
The performance came at an ideal time for Pepperell as he aims to stay inside the top 100 and guarantee a place on the Tour in 2018.
