SIX Abingdon gymnasts returned with medals from the Southern Region elite and ‘in age’ championships at Portsmouth.

In the level 3 section, Rosie Greer, ten, took the overall silver medal, after winning the floor exercises and coming second on the beam.

She will compete in the national finals in November in the southern region team.

There she will be joined by nine-year-olds Olivia Kenny and Tiegan Trafford, who finished third and fourth overall respectively in the level four category. Trafford also took took gold in the bar routine.

Corinna Gooderham, eight, took silver overall at level five, while she won the gold medal for her immaculate floor routine.

Kitty Hitchens competed in the level 3 pathway competition where she came second overall and took golds on both floor and beam.

Lexie-Mae Neal competed in the Espoir Challenge Cup, coming fifth overall with bronze medals in both floor and beam.
