GROVE-BASED Williams endured mixed emotions after a rain affected Singapore Grand Prix.
After a poor qualifying session which saw both drivers eliminated in the first session, Lance Stroll finished eighth and Felipe Massa 11th.
As a result of the cars starting on the ninth row, Williams split their strategies.
Both drivers benefited from a first corner collision involving Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel, Kimi Raikkonen and Red Bull’s Max Verstappen.
Stroll, who started on the intermediate tyre, said: “I think it was a fantastic race. All-in-all, a fantastic result and four points for the team.”
The wet tyre proved to be the wrong choice and Massa added: “I’m disappointed for my race but not for the team because Lance managed to score points.”
