MACY-MAI Timony starred for Abingdon GC in the out-of-age regional finals at Southampton.

Competing in the level 3 senior category, Timony was crowned regional champion, while clubmate Imogen Nutt came third.

Both girls also took apparatus medals on all four pieces.

At level 5, Lily Ritson finished fifth, taking gold on floor.

Sophia Bell finished sixth at level four senior, and also took the silver on the beam.

At level 3 junior, Scarlett Cairns came third, having won silver on beam and bronze on floor.

Poppy Whitford came sixth with a gold medal on vault, while Beth Moulster secured a silver medal on the floor.

In the level two senior category, Holly Allen took gold overall and also won medals on all four apparatuses.

Tiegan Trafford and Corinna Gooderham shone when Abingdon’s junior elite squad competed in the Quatro Cup national invitation event.

In the level four, aged nine category, Trafford won from a big field of 48 gymnasts

She not only took the overall gold medal, but also won the vault and bars disciplines.

Olivia Kenny also picked up awards on vault and bars, but a slip on a beam meant she finished in 19th.

In the pre-level four category, eight-year-old Gooderham, was crowned champion by a staggering two full marks.

She picked up awards on all four apparatuses.

Rosie Greer, ten, took an award on the bars at the level three age group.
