ABINGDON GC have a national champion in Tiegan Trafford.
The nine-year-old claimed the level 4 crown in the British age group voluntary championships.
Trafford outscored her rivals by a huge 1.1 marks to take the title.
She also finished in the top six on every apparatus – first on bars and bear, third on floor and sixth on vault.
Clubmate Olivia Kenny also qualified, finishing 19th overall.
The duo helped helped the South region to second place in the team competition and received silver medals.
Abingdon’s ten-year-old Rosie Greer competed in the level 3 category where she finished 20th. Combined with her grades from earlier in the year, she is now ranked 20th in her age group in Britain.
