WALLINGFORD’S five men’s teams all went unbeaten over the weekend.

Their first XI, who have endured a tough season in MBB&O Regional 1 of the South League, recorded their first win of the campaign, beating second-placed Chiswick 3-1 at home.

Dan Pilbeam, Tom Ferris and Rowan Wheeler were on the scoresheet.

Wallingford’s second team, flying high at the top of MBBO Division 3, beat South Berkshire 3rd 6-3, thanks to goals from George Potter (2), Ben White (2), Angus Brettel and Ross Mitchell.

Elliot Holmes and Paul Flavell were on target as the south Oxfordshire club’s third team also picked up three points with a 2-1 win over third-placed West Hampstead 6th in Division 5.

Wallingford 4th remain in the top four in Division 8 West after a 2-1 victory at Phoenix & Ranlagh 3rd.

Roger Gill and Phil Wortley were on target, while goalkeeper Phillip Wong saved a penalty flick.

And the fifth team, who sit bottom of the table, picked up their third point of the season in a 2-2 draw at home to Oxford Hawks 7th.
